Last Meeting!

I have been on the PTO board as secretary for one year. I was ready to call it quits a few months ago, when I had vision of how I could come in on my white.....ambulance and medivac this nightmare back into a healthy machine. Wrongo! I have had sign after sign that this idea was seriously flawed! This is supposed to be a PARENT TEACHER organization and both the parent and teacher support is seriously lacking. It's a losing battle and I am cutting all ties tonight. Ever since I decided to throw in the towel, I have had so much peace. Now I have to sit in front of the board tonight and decline the nomination, which won't be fun. That's the hard part, actually saying no! But I have no stuck in my mind, no, no, no, no, no, no no..............etc. etc.
